Toys for Tots - unwrapped children toys from small children to 12 year olds Christmas 2011
Since 1947, Marines have been making Christmas wishes come true for needy children.
Toys for Tots makes a difference in the lives of the less fortunate children of our community. Over the years, Marines have distributed over 416,000,000 toys and brought the joy of Christmas and a message of hope to more than 195,000,000 children. This year we expect the need to be greater than last, and we are asking you to help.
The local Toys for Tots team works very hard to make Toys for Tots a success, but we could never do it without the help of concerned citizens and business leaders. We rely on local donations of toys for distribution on Dec. 17, 2011. Whatever you can provide will help immensely.
For the many volunteers who make Toys for Tots possible year after year, Toys for Tots embodies the true spirit of Christmas. The gift of a shiny new toy - something that most children take for granted - means to a needy child that someone cares, that they hasn't been forgotten, that Christmas hasn't passed them by.
The Marine Corps Reserve believes that "Every Child deserves a Little Christmas," and we are asking you to help us send the needy children of our community a message of hope this Christmas. We hope you can help us with a donation this year.
Sweet Home Animal Shelter
When you contribute to the Sponsor An Animal Program, your one donation sponsors an animal of your choice for one year, The sponsorship kit includes a detailed biography, a 5x7 picture, and quarterly updates pertaining to the sponsored animal as well as a birthday card for the recipient. A sponsorship of a minimum of $50.00 also includes a HSHAR logo tee shirt. You can order on-line and have items sent to Home Sweet Home Animal Shelter or bring to the Holiday Party with you.

Gone to MOTM but the Party at Whiskey Joe's is still on!
As most of you know, many of us have gone to Key West this week for the 20th celebration of MOTM! We really wish you could all be there! For those of you that are still here, the meeting at Whiskey Joe's is still on for Wednesday. It will be less formal than our regular meetings....that just sounds strange calling our meetings formal...anyway we hope you have some fun at Whiskey Joe's this week while we are gone! There will be some sign up sheets for upcoming events that we need you to “Volunteer when called upon” for, but most importantly lift a glass and toast being a good Parrot Head and continue to party with a purpose! I have listed the Support the Troops Holiday information below. We will see you when we get back!
